Frequently Asked Questions
Are KukoEDC sliders made in-house?
Yes. Our sliders are manufactured in-house using our own CNC machines and are finished, assembled, and inspected by hand.
Because of the machining and hand-finishing process, small cosmetic variations between individual pieces are normal.
Where are KukoEDC sliders made?
All sliders are made in Lithuania.
Choosing a Slider
What is the difference between Regular and Mini sliders?
Regular sliders provide a larger grip and generally feel more substantial in the hand.
Mini sliders are smaller, lighter, and easier to carry while still keeping the same basic sliding mechanism.
There is no better option between the two. It mainly depends on your hand size and personal preference.
Which slider should I choose for my first Kuko?
If you are unsure, a Regular titanium Fatty with SS plates is a good starting point because it offers a balanced combination of size, weight, durability and feedback.
If you prefer something smaller and easier to carry, a Mini is a good alternative.
Sliding Plates
What is the difference between stainless steel and Teflon/PTFE plates?
Stainless steel plates provide a more noticeable metallic feel and sound.
Teflon/PTFE plates are much quieter and generally produce a softer sliding feel.
If you want stronger audible feedback, stainless steel is usually the better choice. If you prefer a quieter slider, Teflon/PTFE is recommended.
Are the plates replaceable?
Yes. Sliding plates are replaceable on supported models.
Replacement plates and other spare parts are available separately in our store.
Magnets & Feedback
How strong are the magnets?
Magnet configuration depends on the slider model.
We use different magnet sizes and strengths to achieve the intended feel for each design.
Can I change the magnet strength?
On many models, the magnet configuration can be changed.
Changing magnet strength can significantly affect sliding resistance, snap, and overall feel.
Make sure magnets are installed with the correct polarity when replacing them.
Can magnets wear out?
Permanent magnets normally retain their strength for a very long time under normal use.
However, magnets can chip or become damaged if they are removed improperly or allowed to snap together outside the slider.
Sound & Feel
Can I make my slider quieter?
Using Teflon/PTFE plates is usually the easiest way to reduce noise.
Different magnet configurations and O-ring setups can also change the sound.
Maintenance
Does my slider require maintenance?
Very little maintenance is required.
We recommend occasionally cleaning dust and debris from the sliding surfaces.
Should I lubricate my slider?
No.
Our sliders are designed to operate without oil or grease.
How should I clean my slider?
For most sliders, simply wipe the surfaces with a clean microfiber cloth.
If necessary, the slider can be carefully disassembled so the internal surfaces can be cleaned.
Avoid aggressive chemicals, especially on plastic materials, anodized finishes, Micarta, or other specialty materials.
What screwdriver do I need?
Sliders use Torx screws.
A T6 driver is commonly used for our small plate screws.
Always use a good-quality driver to avoid damaging the screw head.
Should I tighten the screws as hard as possible?
No.
Small screws only need to be tightened securely.
Overtightening can damage screws, threads, plates, or bodies.
Finish & Wear
Why does my slider look slightly different from the product photos?
Lighting, screen settings, material batches, machining, and hand finishing can all create small visual differences.
Anodized titanium can also appear very different depending on viewing angle and lighting.
Stock & Drops
Why are many sliders sold out?
Most products are manufactured in relatively small batches.
We machine and finish our products ourselves, so production quantities are limited.
How often do you restock?
Restocks depend on production schedules and material availability.
During active production periods, new pieces may be added regularly.
Will a sold-out model come back?
Usually, many of our regular designs return eventually but specific materials, colors, finishes or limited editions may not.
Can I reserve a slider?
Unless stated otherwise, available sliders are sold on a first come, first served basis.
Shipping
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes, we ship to most countries worldwide.
Shipping availability can vary depending on destination and carrier restrictions.
Where do orders ship from?
Orders are shipped from Lithuania, European Union.
Will I receive tracking?
Yes. Tracked shipping is used for our orders.
Tracking information is provided after your order has been prepared and shipped.
How long does shipping take?
Delivery time depends on destination and shipping method.
European deliveries are generally faster, while international shipments can take longer due to customs and local postal services.
The estimated delivery time shown during checkout is only an estimate and is not a guaranteed delivery date.
Are customs duties and import taxes included?
Unless specifically stated during checkout, customs duties, import VAT, brokerage fees, or other local charges are the responsibility of the buyer.
These charges are determined by the destination country and are outside our control.
What if tracking has not updated?
International tracking can sometimes remain unchanged for several days while a parcel is moving between countries or customs facilities.
This does not necessarily mean the parcel is lost.
If tracking has not updated for an unusually long period, contact us and we will check it.
What happens if my package is lost?
If a tracked parcel appears to be lost, contact us.
We will investigate the shipment with the carrier and help resolve the situation.

Can I change or cancel my order?
If your order has not yet been shipped, contact us as soon as possible.
We will try to help but changes or cancellations may not be possible once the order has entered the shipping process.
Can I combine two orders?
If both orders have not yet shipped, contact us.
We may be able to combine them depending on their processing status.
I entered the wrong shipping address. What should I do?
